The handheld optical power meter (TP-3711-A) is a precision instrument used for testing and maintaining fiber optic communication networks. It measures the optical power in both single-mode and multi-mode fibers and is commonly used for verifying signal loss, link integrity, and continuity. Designed for field use, the device features a rugged casing and a compact form factor, making it suitable for on-site installation and maintenance tasks.

The meter supports a wide dynamic range and multiple wavelength calibrations (850, 980 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1625 nm), enabling compatibility with various transmission systems including GPON, EPON, CATV, and long-haul telecom lines.
